After a tough afternoon of trampling bluebonnets and other wild flowers, the team needed a break.  What’s better than the chocolate dipped cones at Dairy Queen?

Bluebonnets 2010

Posted on by 0 comment

Last weekend we made our annual trek to find a good field of wildflowers.  We had good luck getting out of town and driving to Ennis last year, so we made a return trip to the same path.  We saw the usual bluebonnets and indian paintbrush, but this year also saw an assortment of yellow flowers glowing on the roadside.   The yellow flowers were overtaken with photographers and their subjects, so we stuck with the classics.

We ended up with a ton of good photos this year, but here’s a small sample.  The more experimental photos appear in separate posts.

Rulers of Possums

Last weekend Kevin and Fletcher went to Possum Kingdom Lake with the YMCA Adventure Guides. We spent the weekend hiking, fishing, canoeing, shooting arrows, tossing washers, and generally running around. After dark, Kevin spent much time staring at the fire.
We did not see any possums.

The Blog Is Back (Yet Again)

After a brief 20 month hiatus, the blog is back.   We’re changing platforms and have moved the old blog here in case you want to relive the good times.  Emily will be editing as well, so perhaps that will increase the odds of activity.  Enjoy.
